Nothing much for the day, woke up around 3 pm. Yeah, i know my biological clock pretty messed up. Was dead bored, dunno what to do and i end up watching Sepet till 7.30 am. My sister got some dvds, wonder why couldnt she find something better to watch. Nice story line, but i guess the scenery was just too unrealistic. Talking about different races, but the scene was in 2000 era. People just dont give a crap about different races coupled up together. Well the story was about 19-year old Ah Loong is in charge of a stall selling pirated vcd's. Contrary to what you might expect someone of his social standing to be, Ah Loong is an incurable romantic with an unlikely hobby - he loves to read and write poetry. Quite content to carry on being the Romeo of the slums, Ah Loong's life takes a sudden turn one day when a 16-year old Malay schoolgirl name Orked arrives at his stall in search of Wong Kar-Wai's films...well pretty nice like i said, but its like too lame.
"One chinese boy, one malay girl, one unforgettable love story" the director trying to emphasize. Hello wake up please...this whole race issue thing was dead since the early 90's..only those typical minded people who still have that kind of mentallity. Passé mind we call it.
Well to whoever havent watch it yet try it, you might just dwell in the whole soapy different race love thing or be bored with it. By the way "sepet" means those lil eyes. Asian especially chinese, have this small eyes, well thats what "sepet" means i dont know the exact word in english.
Anyway i miss my comel so much. Sayang dia. He's "my sepet"..muah !
